II.
The
Treasurer’s Report was discussed and reviewed by
Jim Versweyveld. Quarterly financial
results from 2009 and 2010 were presented.
The secretary urged the timeliness of registrations as a
significant
source of income. The group discussed
the need for additional line item detail, particularly as it relates to
ALBC labor
rates. Christina Winch moved to accept the report, Marjorie Kuszlyk
seconded
and the motion passed unanimously. The
Registrar’s Report was distributed and reviewed by Jim Versweyveld. John Kuszlyk moved to approve the report,
Barry Near seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The Executive Committee report was presented
by Ellen Bohn. Discussion included the
request from interested parties from
A. Expo Display- Those in attendance enjoyed seeing the 2nd annual display of Dutch Belted Cattle at World Dairy Expo. Appreciation was given to the Bohn family for bringing their cows and supporting the effort with their time and talents. Expenses and advertising were discussed and breeders in attendance expressed a desire to continue with future exhibits.
B. The Dutch Belted show at the New York State Fair was discussed by Marjorie Kuszlyk. The inaugural show had 27 animals exhibited by 6 exhibitors. Plans are in place to continue to expand this important breed promotion opportunity.
C. Website Report. Webmaster, Angie Haag-Eggenberger provided a report on the DBCAA website, www.dutchbelted.com that was presented by Ellen Bohn. The website continues to be a valued resource for breeders and for individuals interested in additional information about the breed. Christina Winch moved to accept the Webmaster’s report, John Kuszlyk seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
D. Plans for 125th Anniversary (2011). Next year, 2011, is the DBCAA 125th Anniversary. Breeders discussed ideas for recognizing this important milestone. Jim Versweyveld suggested an addition to the Bulletin cover to highlight the event. He will present the idea to Winifred Hoffman, Bulletin Editor. The World Dairy Expo display will also include signage recognizing the anniversary.

IV. Next Meeting. The 2011 DBCAA will be held again at World Dairy Expo with time and location to be announced in the March Bulletin.
